It Hits Home
Battlefield of the Mind hits home so many times. It talked about things that I have been through and things that I am going throught. The book shows that the mind is the leader of all our actions. Battlefield of the Mind has showed me how to start renewing my mind, in a way that I can relate to. It shows you Scripture quotations that have made it a lot easier for me to renew my mind. It tells us that by renewing our minds according to God's Word, we will learn the good and acceptable and perfect will of God for our lives. The book shows us that negative thoughts can, and will keep us in a negative life. I was living proof of that, after reading Battlefield of the Mind my thinking changed and so has my life. Our mind is Satan's Playground, if we allow it to happen. The book shows us how satan tries to bombard our minds by deceiving us into believing damaging thoughts and strongholds that keep us in bondage.
Battlefield of the Mind had three parts, the importance of the mind, which showed me how the mind worked. The conditions of the mind, tells how to reshape your mind and use it right. And, the wilderness mentalities, I think is the best part because it tells how to get rid of the old way of thinking. All three parts are full of informantion that will help you to renew your mind.
Battlefield of the mind is one of the best books I have read on renewing the mind and spirit.

A must read for women everywhere.
Every woman should read this book, but I especially recommend this book for new mothers. When I started reading this book I thought - I wish had read this book when I was caring for my newborn. Having a newborn child has been the most trying time in my life - you're tired, your house is a mess, you wish your husband would help more, you would like to know what sleep felt like again and you have to get up and go to work. This book deals with all the feelings and thoughts that go through your mind and teaches you how to use prayer and stop sinful mind patterns. She is very straight forward and does not pretend that it is an easy task. She offers encouragement and examples of how bad thinking effected her life. You will want to read this book more than once, because it's teachings are so profound. It will truly impact your life. You'll wish you had read it sooner.

Life Changing Book
Your actions are controlled by the thoughts in your mind. This book teaches you how to gain more control over what goes on your your mind. She starts out in the first chapter explaining two primary truths from the Bible, from Ephesians 6 that we wrestle in the spiritual sphere and John 8 where Jesus told us that the devil is the father of lies. Consequently, the lies our mind believes are distortions which hold us back from attaining God's best. Chapter two picks up the familiar theme from Proverbs 23:7, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. In chapter four we're encouraged that if the process of renewing our mind fails to reach its goal immediately, we are not to give up, that "little by little" we are headed in the right direction as we move forward. Chapter five affirms our faith. "...it shall be done for you as you have believed", the statement from Jesus in the sermon on the mount, is the theme of this section. Jumping ahead to chapter 14, she associates a passive mind with one influened by evil spirits. We're told, "the devil knows that inactivity, failure to exercise the will, will spell the believer's ultimate defeat" (p. 137). An empty mind that remains passive is open to all kinds of deception she tells us. We are warned to guard against passivity. On page 142 she adds, "you will not change your behavior until you change your thoughts." Moving into even more exciting revelation, she builds on this idea a few pages later by noting "God has a glorious plan for your life. These are the truths you must think on" (p. 159). She reminds us again that thoughts manifest themselves as actions. In emphasizing the importance of Bible study, she writes, "God's Word is His thoughts written down on paper for our study and consideration" (p. 164). This section also contains vital teaching on meditation and the rewards of reading the Bible. Part 3 deals with "wilderness mentality." This book will result in positive changes for anyone who reads it with an open mind. Similar Products
