For a book about the subject, this one surely lacks Quality
Borrowing heavily from older resources (noted in the extensive footnotes to each section), this textbook attempts to teach the reader about Quality. Unfortunately, while the information is sound, it is presented in a very dry and unoriginal manner. Kolarik is surely passionate about Quality (particularly with regard to the Baldridge award), but his writing style and uninteresting case studies do not transfer any of this passion to the reader

Excelent text book for quality -related courses
Kolarik's "Cretating Quality" integrates all themes related to quality management/engineering. I've used this versatile book in graduate courses of engineering and business. Perhaps some topics like quality leadershis and some other themes related to quality philosophies are not stressed, buy those can be easily suplemented with other readings. Try this book.. it's a must for quality professionals.
