This book covers the history of dreaming. That's right dreaming does have a history, a very long one dating back to the Summerians and Egyptians. man has always been both fascinated and baffled by his dreams, that which is produced by the unconscious mind. Around the world there have been dieties dedicated to the dreamtime and to astral travel.
This book is a wealth of information of this particuliar subject. Included are lists of deities and symbols, dream rituals, dream spells, and more. What I really liked is that Scott did not do the usual dream interpretations such as a dove means peace; if you see a boat, you're going to travel, etc. This type of noncense is most annoying to those of us who are awakened dreamers. It is really appreciated when you find a book that deals with the subject on a very real level, acknowledging the individual and the messages that they receive from the spiritual realm. If you buy this book don't forget to have your dream journal handy!
