This book is annoyingly amateurish. Typographical errors, misspellings, subject/verb disagreement, incorrect use of words, and the like abound in this book. Additionally, the type in the book (e.g., words underlined, bolded, capitalized, etc.) only adds to the aggravation. To top it all off, one gets the feeling that what is related in this book is second or third hand (at best!) information. Disappointingly impersonal!
I say one is better off seeking other books on Hughes (e.g., Citizen Hughes, I Caught Flies for Howard Hughes, His Weird and Wanton Ways, The Hidden Years, etc.) In any event, this book is solely a footnote to the aforementioned books on Hughes and is not for one looking for an introduction to Hughes or for details about him.
