Excellent text, but needs an update
This is the best textbook available for international financial statement analysis. Chapters 4 and 5 are especially useful. Unfortunately, the book has not been revised since 2000. Since that date, there have been dramatic changes in Japanese accounting standards in particular, while many German companies have switched to using IAS or U.S. GAAP. As a result, some of the problems e.g., problems dealing with Japanese pension accounting, are dated. I hope the authors are considering an update.
