Yes, do be careful!
By all means, especially to women, be careful. BUT, don't dismiss the internet as a way to meet people. For one thing - an individual on the internet is more likely to be well educated, employed, and a professional. And just like you is finding it hard to find someone "out there" maybe because of career pressures, maybe because it's difficult to open conversations at the grocery store "I think that grapefruit may be overripe, here's a good one." "So, you use playtex, hmm? My ex-wife used those too." Maybe smokey bars aren't the right place to find Mr or Mrs Right. Maybe you'd like to know something someone has to say about themselves before you commit to a dinner with a possible loser who happens to look good. Find happiness where you can.
