Get the newest software to be fully prepared!
The main reason I bought this book over some of the others was that the CD contained a test engine with simulations and I had heard that this exam incorporated a lot of them. After the purchase, I contacted the author to see if there were more questions and found out that the sims are available as shareware from a website.

Regardless of which book I used, I honestly would not have passed the exam without the aid of the software. Read this as a warning, all ye who are attempting this exam, and download the latest software to properly prepare you.

Nice try
When I first looked at the IIS 4.0 book, I thought it was pretty neat. After all, it covers the exam by sections on the test.

After seeing the exam, however, I have to rate this book a bit lower than I would have been inclined to without taking the exam. This is not to say that this book is worse than all the rest on the market. It is better than MS Press's kit, so I have to rate it at least middle of the road on that point alone.

I really wish there was an Exam Cram out before I took the exam, but, since I passed, I cannot be too hard on the book. A note about the exam: If you do not use IIS 4 currently, this book alone will not help you pass the exam. The material for the exam is relatively easy; the wording of the exam makes it relatively difficult. You have been warned.

no help at all unless...
If you are using this book as your sole source of information, and are familiar with the product, it would be okay. If you are looking for additional information to supplement your MCSE studies, DON'T LOOK HERE. The book is choppy, and does not go into explanation of any detail whatsoever. It left me with more questions than answers and I was sorry I bought it.
