Very Difficult to Read and Understand
I purchased this book to prepare for a course on manufacturing strategy. Am very disappointed now how little I gained from this book. My expectation was that it would help me get some better conceptual and practical understanding about operations strategy. While the book seems to cover all pertinent topics on operations strategy, it lacks clarity in its definitions and it has no flow, which makes it extremely difficult to read. I took at least three attempts to read various chapters to better understand strategy development approaches, but I gave up each time after a page or two because I had a hard time understanding what the authors were trying to say. Clearly, this book is written at a theoretical level that even gives an individual with college degree an extra challenge... Am sorry to say that I feel I made a wrong decision when I bought this book.I found the information I was looking for in Terry Hill's book "Manufacturing Strategy".
