Great Reference
Don Crutchfield has "taken the bull by the horns" and written a book covering many kinds of protection. Being from the Midwest, we tend to think the computer and identity type thefts can't happen to us. Wrong! Thanks Don for opening our eyes and making us think about all the privacy protection areas. I know you have dealt with many of these problems in your line of business and I appreciate a first hand review of things I can do to help protect myself, the people I love and my property.

Once in a while a good book comes along.
PROTECT YPURSELF AT ALL TIMES really gets down to the nitty gritty. Unlike many other "security manuals" for the layman, this book covers common sense, everyday tips, yet also covers sophisticated security topics such as computers and identity theft. It wasn't dry. I enjoyed the areas such as the stalking chapter, where the author talks about actual cases. It is obvious that the man has a sense of humor. Having been in law enforcement, I can relate because, without a sense of humor, you will develop ulcers and one lousy attitude. I highly reccomend this as a security primer for everybody.

An Essential Survival Tool
This is a manual, which, refreshingly, speaks equally to women as to men. Crutchfield is hardly condescending towards women but offers good, solid advice for every woman. This is especially true when he covers domestic violence. As a victim many years ago of domestic violence, I can only say I wish I had this book at that time. I know it would have helped me in what was a terrible situation. I have a parent whom I will have to place in a home and the chapter on senior care and elder abuse was enlighting to say the least. I particularly appreciated the list of resource sources. I have given copies of PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES to close friends and family.
