Needs more practical finanical information
This is an good guide for engineers who have never worked as a consultant. It covers many technical, professional and operational issues. However, it needs practical information on buiness issues like financial and accounting for both "lone guns" with just one person vs two or more people.

Questions like "Do I need to have a registered company name?" "If it is just me do I need to set up a bank account/accounting system or just have the client make out the checks to me ?". "What do I need to do if I set up for Individual vs a Coorporation or Partnership" "Do I need to set up a payroll system which takes out taxes and worker comp, or do I just deposit the checks in my personal account and handle taxes at end of the year ?"

Discussions of moonlighting vs full time and Indiviual vs Groups and practical step by step items in setting up finacial and accounting issues would be helpful.
