Basic intro, contradictions
Nothing new here. You would expect it to show you how to find winning stocks as it mentions on the cover. They say to use the most active list, then as you get more experienced to use other lists you can find on the net. It gives examples of basic technical indicators, introduces his favorite (moving average channel based on price bar highs and lows). Then says you don't need a computer to trade. Going to calc these indicators by hand? I don't think so. There are tons of contridictions on what they say and do. They bash gurus that are on TV, but many will remember Jake's late night infomercials on seasonal trading. The chart examples do not accurately show the methods described. Avoid this one.

Another masterpiece of Jakes
For me having success in the past markets of the Internet age, that is no sure thing that I will be able to maintain my profitability for the upcoming years.
However, Jakes book "stock market strategies that work" taught me the fundamentals to sound technical analysis (something that I wasn't using before). The book is very clear to understand and read, the visual tables and graphs are clear and easy to comprehend, and the book explains the methods to you using examples (which is the best). Not only that, but during my time with the book, I had some questions, and emailed Mr. Bernstein himself. Within hours I got a reply, and since then he has helped me out on numerous occasions.
It is very rare to find a great book on investing, along with the author available for some more detailed explanations on his issues.
Pick up this one either as to gain some new ideas and methods, or to even brush up your old techinical analysis skills.
This book is definitely a winner. Great job Jake. Keep the good books coming. Similar Products
