Out of Date
This book focuses on the psychology of shoplifters and psychology of prevention. For someone looking for a true "guide" it is not helpful. Much of the information is out of date and not current with advances made in the field of preventing shoplifting losses. Further it offers legal advice which is also not current and does not address the fact that laws vary from state to state. I would not recommend this book to any retailer or merchant, especially not to someone new to the job or recently hired for a Loss Prevention Department.
