I can tell Zane took her time with this novel. It is intricately woven and depicts a very realistic lifestyle. Zane, you have done it again, girl. I give you your props! Hurry up and write another one!!!
The story reloves around the Tomilas Wolfe and his corporation. He has loads of money but he still cannot find happiness with his wife Zetta who does nothing but spend up his money and cheats on him with other men. He finally feels like enough is enough and is ready to make a change in his life that doesn't involve Zetta.
Chico is an employee of Tomilas Wolfe and he works in the mailroom. Chico is only 19 but he has big responsiblities of taking care of his daughter and also his mother. But somehow he gets caught up in the webs of Zetta Wolfe and he soon finds out that its not good to think with the wrong head.
Diane is another employee of Mr. Wolfe and she is determined to make her twin boys have a very merry christmas. She works over-time for a supervisior that is constantly harassing her and she begins to have feelings for one of her co-workers(even though she hasn't been in a relationship for 13 years). Someone special pops up after many years and forces her to rethink a lot of things.
Anastatia, yet another employee of Tomilas Wolfe, is young and trying to get all the money she can to buy all the materialistic things. She has a little business going on with another one of her co-workers enabling them to make a good amount of money on the side. But she has a bigger plan and that is to take Tomilas Wolfe away from his wife and to become his 2nd wife.
Like I said this isn't one of Zanes best novels but I really did enjoy it. I was up late at night reading about all the drama going on with these characters. I also liked the fact that the story was set around the workplace. Not everyone was friends with each other which made it interesting. I could also relate to the novel because it is set in Washington D.C. PIck this up for a good read. Zane also adds two short storys that are off the chains and there is another little surprise in there for those that are a little on the wild side
Tomalis, was so unbelievable, so far fetched. What was the catalyst that made him start to questiojn his life? Why would he stay with his wife all those years? (which is unbelievable itself?) How did they meet? were they ever happy?
I also agree, why would he put chico out like that, then want him to be his heir??? Not a possible heir, but just hand it to a 19 year old.
The son being so callous towards his mother. Please. I dont think so.
His wife was a flat cardboard black alexis carrington. What woman would be stupid enough to let the limo driver know all her business?
With todays technology, Tomalis could not get video of her in the act before now?
Then chico turns into a virginal person with his next girlfriend?? Please. It was not that traumatic.
Just so many HUGE problems with this book. After reading it , i think "anybody can write a book".
