Practical, Encouraging, and Motivating...
I overly enjoyed reading Rick's practical philosophy of basketball, business, and life. The whole emphasis of taking charge of your circumstances through hard work and determination....ultimately pays off. It at least will make one a better person. Being a basketball fan, I found his real life stories, interesting and encouraging. One can easily see how Rick's principles helped him develop winning basketball programs throughout his career and the book showed his genuine caring attitude toward his players. I especially like the end of chapter summaries, and the summary at the end of the book. The one thing I did not like about the book was the testimonies after each chapter that to me tried to show to the world a "how great I am" attutude. I certainly do not know Rick and this attitude did not come across through reading the chapters of the book, but I got this impression from the testimonials. Otherwise; a wonderful easy-reading, motivational book!

A reading "must" for every teenager in America
Rick Pitino says it best when he says cherish the moment. Playas if you want it to last forever--your work day, your life, yourmarriage, your day to day devotions. This is all we really have in our life and we choose how we want to handle it. Every teenager who thinks their parents "owe" them or needs to have everything sugar coated so it doesn't hurt their feelings needs to read this book. Sometimes you need to hear what's wrong to be able to do what's right. It's done with love not anger and is very constructive. Rick lets you know that life is a learning process and you need to learn from successful people all you can. I highly recommend this book for anyone feeling like they need a boost in life. The first step is the biggest step and but also the easiest--give the 110 % to whatever it is you are doing and you are on your way to becoming successful.

It is a Choice
Whether you are a basketball fan or not, this is a great book for those who are searching for the leader in themself. Rick Pitino has some very interesting stories of his past that makes this book. It is a well organized outline of how to develop yourself to be a better person. If you are searching, read it... if you are not, look elsewhere. Similar Products
