Great for European practitioners too!
"Strategic Organizational Change" by Dr. Michael Beitler is great for managers and consultants in Europe (as well as American or Asian managers and consultants). Dr. Beitler's advice and guidelines work well for me in Frankfurt, Germany. (It is not an "American Management Book" only.) It's a great book!

Strategic Organizational Change
This book is an excellent resource for anyone interested in learning about the field of Organizational Change & Development (OCD). I was fortunately able to take a course in OCD with Dr. Beitler while in graduate school. His straight-forward, practioner-oriented approach provides a great deal of clarity compared to other titles I've read on the topic (especially Cummings and Worley's text, among others). Strategic Organizational Change takes the mystery out of OCD for students, consultants, and managers.

Great Combination of Practice & Theory
Beitler has a unique way of discussing practice and theory together. He uses practice to help the reader understand theory; he uses theory to help the reader understand practice. This book can be used in both university classrooms and corporate conference rooms.
