Excellent book, written by top researchers in the field
This book was written under the guidance of Michael Liebowitz - the leading expert on social anxiety disorder. The book is well organized, well written, and highly informative. I highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in the subject.

good info what shyness is, not enough on what to do about it
Most of the books covers what shyness is, why it exists, etc. Only about 25 percent of the book covers what to do about it.

Wonderful insight into the types and causes of shyness
This book provides an outstanding reference to shyness in various social situations and dives into facinating scientific and biological detail on why shyness occurs. A definate read for anyone who not only wants to overcome shyness but wants to learn more about its evolutionary origins.
