The Emperors of Chocolate
This interesting book focuses on the two major families involved in the chocolate business: Mars and Hershey. I was told that the first chapter would be boring but found the war on contracts for selling chocolate to the military to be very fascinating and informative. The rest of the book discussed the present and future of both companies, interspersed with the historical background of their founders. The many detailed stories and anecdotes about the way chocolate is made from bean to bar made me want to eat some chocolate- and never any from Mars! The book was a quick read and a good glimpse into the cut-throat, bitter legal and marketing tactics used by both companies which, without Brenners research, we may never have known-considering the family businesses are so secretive, publicity shy.

Knowledge for the taste buds
Emperors of Chocolate is a wonderful book filled with hidden knowledge of the fascinating world of chocolate. Your taste buds will dance while reading this book. I myself have never been a huge fan of chocolate but while reading this book I had to satisfy my cravings with a bag of M&M's. After reading this book you can amaze your friends with trivial facts such as what do the M's stand for in M&M?
I felt that Brenner did a stupendous job of bring the reader on a tour through the enchanting history of chocolate. I don't normally read business books but I am glad I got to see the mystical world of Hershey and Mars.

Chocolate for Everyone
This is a great book giving an insightful look into the world of two of the world's biggest candy companies. Not only does it reveal a chocolate war, but it gives us a real up close look at how these companies are run and how they first were created. Similar Products
