Tiger Success a Modern Day Essay on Self Reliance.
Alan Brask has rekindled the notion of true self reliance. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote in his essay on "Self Reliance" the true source of satisfaction is to know what your principles are and to see your unique principles triumph. Brask has updated this search for individuality and meaning to the modern business world, and he also has brought to this adventure a unique sense of humor. There is an important statement in reading this book about "thriving". It has us thinking about being true to our unique nature and to concentrate on genuineness and integrity. It also makes us laugh at a world that does not always live up to this aspiration. The book also ends with a touching tribute to the authors own father. I have read many books in the last ten years on the issue of men's lives, and Tiger Success ranks with the best for getting us to live up to our full unique potential. It is a humane account of staying true to the wisdoms that grow out of our experiences. Thanks Mr. Brask for a great read, a few laughs, and the best of American transcandental thinking. To gain Tiger Success, one must remain true to the tiger within all of us.
