This volume is indeed a practical guide to understanding and dealing with depression, especially as it affects women. The place of Christian faith in the healing process is paramount in this book. Discussion of the topic is divided into four major sections: Understanding Depression in Women; Causes of Depression; Getting Help and Healing Depression; and Strategies for Overcoming Depression. In non technical terms the causes and affects of depression are discussed as well as possible methods of intervention.
