Don't get this book if you want to stay stuck where you are!
Sayre talks about "expanding your comfort zone" to include things you used to think impossible for you and this book will do just that -- his auctorial voice here is so, well, _confident_ that you, the reader, can have unstoppable confidence and tremendous success, it's impossible to not get caught up in that belief. And as you do the exercises, and feel and experience the results for yourself, you'll only be more sure.

The sheer density of this book in terms of useful information per page is amazing. I've read a lot of self-help books, and all too often they only really have one or two ideas stretched out to book-length. Not here -- every page has ideas to challenge your previously-conceived limitations, or useful exercises or techniques. You'll probably laugh about how _simple_ the exercises are for their power. One in particular that shocked me was how moving your attention changes your voice's tonality -- I'll never again think the same about how I speak.

As I look forward to 2002, I'm grateful to encounter this book now to remind me of the importance of setting specific goals and to expand my sense of possibility for what they can be. Don't wait for another new year to do the same!

Finally a real book for shy people
I happened to stumble across an ad for Kent Sayre's book to help shy people. I clicked the link to his web page, I am glad I did. After reading his introduction about his life, it seemed like he was writing about me, I knew I had to get this book. I think the best thing about this book is that people who are shy now know that they are not alone out there with these thoughts and fears. I really appreciated Kent's relatable writting style, it seems that he wrote this with the understanding of who was going to read this and didn't over-whelm us, he just gave us the information we can use to help us get unstoppable confidence. One of the best books out there for all of us to read, I rate it right up there with the classics How to Win Friends and Influence People, The Magic of Thinking Big, ect.... Thanks Kent!!!

VERY OLD STUFF, no new ideas
First, excuse my spelling: english is not my first laguage.
Kent Sayre's book is a very, very, very basic introduction to
"classic" NLP change work. Very old stuff.
All the exercises are the most common, and old-fashioned
NLP drills. In this book you will found excersice like: "Circle of Excellence" (oh, no, not again!!!), "Behaviour Generator" (uffff...), kinestetic anchoring (old an useless "push button" anchoring, you'll not see anything abount Sliding Anchors in this book), "Personal History Change", and so on.
My suggestion is: if you don't know ANYTHING about NLP,THEN the book is a good introduction and you maybe could get something of value from it.
BUT, if you know the something about NLP... even the most basic stuff... Don't waste your money... you will not find anything new or improved.
Instead, if you want a really POWERFULL way of remove all your shyness and hesitation, I recomend you buy the 3D Mind videos of Tom Vizzini.
